The SCC Internet Safety Project Award
Judging
The judging panel will consist of one representative each from the Police Community Clubs of Great Britain and Community Initiatives Associates as well as one brand ambassador. They will base their evaluation of each nominee on the following criteria:
- Raising awareness about the internet
- Dangers of sharing personal information
- Look to engage and educate the wider community
- Installed measures to ensure internet is used safely and responsibly
The Police Community Clubs of Great Britain and SCC wish to recognise the work being done within UK schools to ensure that children are able to safely use the internet.
Nominated projects should be innovative, practical and up-to-date, while also reinforcing the positive aspects of using the web as a resource.
A shortlist of nominees will be drawn up based on the information provided in the simple nomination form that can be accessed by clicking on the ‘Nominate’ button below. If the nominee is selected to appear on this list, the nominator will be asked to provide additional information about the individual’s work which will help the judges to select the award winner.

The Mobile Phone Education Initiative Award
Judging
The judging panel will consist of one representative each from the Police Community Clubs of Great Britain and Community Initiatives Associates as well as one brand ambassador. They will base their evaluation of each nominee on the following criteria:
- Educating children on the dangers of mobile phone use
- A project or initiative on how to use a mobile phone responsibly
- Worked to educate other school members and wider community
- Illustrated their work through posters or other resources
More and more children own a mobile phone and this award recognises an initiative aimed at promoting the safe use of a mobile phone. With advances in the various ways people can communicate via a mobile phone, it is also crucial that children are made aware of the dangers that can accompany such communication methods.

The Award for Outstanding Technology Project
The Police Community Clubs of Great Britain wish to recognise a school which has encouraged effective learning through the development of an innovative technology project. Projects nominated in this award category would have seen pupils involved in both the design and production of the project.
Judging
The judging panel will consist of one representative each from the Police Community Clubs of Great Britain and Community Initiatives Associates as well as one brand ambassador. They will base their evaluation of each nominee on the following criteria:
- Presentation
- Innovation
- Community involvement
- Development of initial idea
