About the Community Education Awards
Entries are now being accepted for the 2014 Awards. A project/person that has been entered for an Award will be considered for shortlisting once entries have closed on February 14th, 2014. Shortlisted entries will then be contacted to provide additional information which will help our panel of judges choose a winner.
- September 2013 – entries accepted
- February 14th, 2014 – deadline for entries
- February 21st, 2014 – shortlisted entries contacted for additional information
- April 4th, 2014 – deadline for additional information to be sent for final judging
- May 2014 – winners announced
Once the winners have been announced, schools will be contacted to arrange a date for a ‘Presentation Assembly’ at the winning school.
The Community Education Awards is an annual celebration of schools’ efforts to help children and young people to become positive community members. The Police Community Clubs of Great Britain will use the awards to demonstrate the most innovative and effective approaches currently in use and encourage the development of more projects that will have a positive impact on pupils.
The first awards were held in 2011, and in the inaugural year attracted over 1000 applications. For information about previous award winners click here.
