Sarah Hudson was chosen as the "Teacher of the Year" in the Community Education Awards 2018, for a variety of reasons, but one of the main reasons was her involvement and organisation of the Internet Safety Policies at Holy Trinity CE Primary School.
With Internet safety and cyber bullying being such a high profile topic at the moment, Sarah's approach to tacking this subject was refreshing and thorough, her "Worry Box" initiative stood out as children can at times find things difficult to talk about, this paved the way for issues to be dealt with in a friendly private manner.
Her input into the "E-Safety Mark" was outstanding, as it wasn't just us who has recognised the work Sarah has done, and with it being spread to local schools shows how fantastic her efforts are.
Her innovative and creative approach to new ideas and challenges is exceptional, the comments from her peers is truly heart warming and you can tell by the way they talk about her that they all hold her in high regard both as a professional and as a friend and colleague.
We were blown away by the A-Z breakdown of why Sarah should have been chosen as the winner; with our favourite being - M - Sarah is an excellent Mentor offering support and advice when needed. She is able to Motivate both the children and her colleagues; she plans Memorable lessons and Makes a difference to the lives of the children she teaches.
The additional information sent to us was touching, and each of the children's efforts showed that they love having Sarah as their teacher.
Once we read the entry for Sarah Hudson there was never any hesitation that she was our clear winner and out of 554 other entries that is some achievement!!
Well Done to Sarah Hudson - The Community Education Awards "Teacher of the Year 2018"
