In addition to her one to one teaching, she also runs 'booster groups' helping other children in the school to improve their numeracy and social skills.
Despite Gail's recent diagnosis of an inoperable brain tumor she has come into school every day with a huge smile on her face, ready to help and support the children in their learning. She is often found staying behind after the school day to help other staff members and helps to run the netball club, to ensure the children have a wonderful school experience.
Gail is a huge personality within the school, not only to the children, but the teachers too, she is always on hand with a positive smile, a shoulder to cry on or a helping hand. She truly goes above and beyond, never expecting any praise or thanks for all that she does.
When asked how the children would describe Mrs Stott they responded - "we see her as a second mum, she is funny, kind, pretty a problem solver and always cheers you up"
She is a true inspiration.
Congratulations to Gail on winning The Community Education Awards
"The Teaching Assistant of the Year Award 2018!"
